Amanda Bynes explains her infamous Drake tweet
Like the moon landing, or the Kennedy assassination, we all remember where we were in the spring of 2013, when Amanda Bynes asked Drake to murder her vagina. Marking what was generally seen as the apex of the former child star’s public collapse, the tweet evoked a number of reactions from the world: amusement, pity, and confusion, especially from Drake himself.
Now, Bynes—who seems to be doing much better—has explained the origins of the tweet in a refreshingly honest way: She was high, and also she really, really wanted to fuck Drake. “I actually wasn’t being insincere,” Bynes said in a recent interview where she was asked about the infamous tweet. “I was serious, but I was also on drugs.” She was equally open when asked what, exactly, vagina murder entails. “I don’t know… It just means, ‘Fuck me, Drake.’” Fair enough!
You can see the whole interview above; the Drake bit starts at the 3-minute mark.
