Amazon.com ranks the nation's most romantic, i.e. horniest, cities
How do you measure the randiness of a geographic region? It's a big task considering randiness is the No. 1 thing people lie about. (The A.V. Club record for using the word "randiness" in a Newswire post has just been broken. Thanks for your support!) Anyway, Amazon.com decided to rank the Top 20 Most Romantic Cities In America based on sales of romance novels and relationship and sex books since Jan. 1. In a final tally sure to be disputed by the flower and porn industries, Alexandria, Va. came out No. 1, followed by shameless bastions of humping like Cambridge, Mass.; Miami, Irvine, Calif.; and Ann Arbor, Mich. Sorry, Pomona, Calif., El Monte, Calif. and Salt Lake City, but you rank at the bottom. Or maybe you just shop at Powells.
