AMC hires Kevin Smith and Greg Grunberg to host (what else?) a nerdy talk show

According to Deadline, AMC has hired famous nerds Kevin Smith and Greg Grunberg (Heroes) to host a weekly late-night talk show dedicated to discussing the hottest topics in the world of geeks and fanboys. Tentatively titled Geeking Out, the show will reportedly include “talk, clips, celebrity interviews, and out-of-the-studio segments” all told “through a fanboy lens.” In a statement, Smith talked about how happy he is that Geeking Out is in AMC’s “perfect, fan-friendly network hands,” and Grunberg—who admits that he gets all of his acting jobs from his friends—says that he’s going to “take advantage of those relationships even more” by convincing “every single genre-based writer, director, and actor” that he knows to go on the show and “geek out” with him and Smith.

Deadline expects Geeking Out to premiere with a special episode for San Diego Comic-Con in July, and then return for eight more weeks later in the summer.
