AMC orders up the science-fiction series Line Of Sight, in which a man's life falls apart for science-fiction reasons

Encouraged by the success of its recent time-bending experiments on Mad Men, AMC is now considering its first genuine foray into science-fiction, depending on whether you consider zombies or the demand for another season of The Killing to fall within the realm of science fiction. Regardless, its new pilot order Line Of Sight is its most recognizably science-fiction show yet, with producer Blake Masters (of Brotherhood and Rubicon) heading up the genre-blurring conspiracy thriller about “Lewis Bernt, a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash, bringing him on a quest to discover the accident's cause. He becomes a man whose entire sense of self, his own life and the world as he knows it, completely unravels in a whirlwind of obsession and paranoia.” Given that it’s AMC, he also probably becomes kind of a jerk.
