America’s favorite movie Hotel Transylvania is becoming a TV series

Remember all the great times we’ve had watching America’s favorite movie, Hotel Transylvania? How we laugh every time Dracula does the thing about being a vampire? And that rotund mummy guy probably gets his wrapping caught on something at some point? And, just spitballing here, but Frankenstein probably makes a sound that someone misinterprets? Well, it looks like we won’t have to simply content ourselves with the knowledge that Hotel Transylvania 2 is coming. No, The Hollywood Reporter tells us we’ll soon be able to live the good life weekly, because Sony is making an animated TV show based on the movie.

The show will “focus on the teenage years of Dracula’s daughter, Mavis, and her friends.” However, there’s not yet any word regarding whether the movie’s magic ingredient will also be accompanying the transition to the small screen, namely, America’s favorite actor Adam Sandler. It’s unclear if he’ll have the time for a weekly series, given his busy schedule of offending Native Americans and producing tax write-offs. Still, this is definitely good news, except for people who wish Hotel Transylvania director Genndy Tartakovsky would get back to making interesting animation.
