Whether you love American Idol or hate it so much you take its popularity personally, there was reason to celebrate over the ratings for the first two episodes. Tuesday's premiere drew an impressive 33.2 million viewers (yay fans!), but that was down 11 percent from last year's premiere. (Yay haters!) Last night's episode was down 19 percent from last year's second episode, but still drew a 26 share. So, Idol is still dominant but not quite as dominant as it has been. But the freaks are creepier than ever.
