Amy Poehler to host SNL’s 36th season premiere

Following a rather tumultuous summer filled with more cast movement than usual, including the departure of Will Forte, Saturday Night Live will kick off its 36th season on Sept. 25 by wisely enlisting alumni/perennial Emmy nominee Amy Poehler to host the premiere episode, Entertainment Weekly is reporting. Katy Perry will be the musical guest in order to ensure that the entire hour-and-a-half won’t be watchable. Fans of Poehler, who just gave birth to a second son with husband Will Arnett on August 6, will have to wait until winter to see more of her when the stellar Parks And Recreation reenters NBC’s schedule as a mid-season replacement.
