Amy Schumer and Tina Fey to close out this season of SNL
Saturday Night Live released the names of its final two hosts for its 43rd season today, with a returning Amy Schumer taking up the job on May 12 (with Kacey Musgraves as her musical guest), and beloved alum Tina Fey handling the season finale with a returning Nicki Minaj. Schumer, presumably, will be promoting her new film I Feel Pretty, while Fey will probably be celebrating the Broadway adaptation of Mean Girls, and also just how fun it usually is to have Tina Fey show up on SNL.
The show’s managed a pretty impressive roster of guest hosts this season, actually; John Mulaney anchored a damn fine outing last week, and Tiffany Haddish, Kumail Nanjiani, and Chance The Rapper have all acquitted themselves well over the last year. (And we’ve got suitably high hopes for Donald Glover, who’ll be hosting this Saturday’s outing, while simultaneously serving as its musical guest.)
