Amy Schumer is producing a new show with comedian Rachel Feinstein
Comedian and Inside Amy Schumer contributor Rachel Feinstein is getting her own show from Comedy Central, with Schumer executive-producing the as-yet untitled program. The show will focus on on-the-street segments, with Feinstein, a veteran stand-up and former Last Comic Standing finalist, performing social experiments and sketches out in the field.
The program will be Schumer’s second for the network, with Inside Amy Schumer already renewed for a third season that will presumably air next year. Over the course of her relationship with Comedy Central, Schumer has already shamed Aaron Sorkin, rightfully mocked the dreaded M’ladies, and freed the word “pussy” from the ghetto of non-genital usage. (She’s also produced some pretty great sketch comedy.) It remains to be seen what she and Feinstein can achieve together, and what sexual slang they can canonize as basic cable fair game, with two shows at their disposal.
