Amy Schumer, Tracy Morgan top this year’s Most Fascinating People list
Amy Schumer and Tracy Jordan are twenty percent of the most fascinating people in the world this year, according to Barbara Walters. Or rather, both comedians will be featured on ABC’s Barbara Walters Presents: 10 Most Fascinating People 2015. Neither choice is all that surprising—Schumer became a household name this year thanks to her critically-acclaimed Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer, and a starring role in the Judd Apatow-directed, deconstructed romcom Trainwreck, which she also wrote. And Morgan is slowly but surely making his way back into the limelight after a 2014 vehicular accident left him in a coma and put his career in jeopardy; he’s performed stand-up and even returned to Saturday Night Live as a guest host.
Also chosen for the journalist’s annual celebrity profile special are Oscar-nominated actor Bradley Cooper, Democratic Socialist firebrand Bernie Sanders, American Ballet Theater principal dancer Misty Copeland, fashion designer Donna Karan, and recently unseated UFC champion Ronda Rousey. The remaining three fascinating people have not yet been announced, presumably to preserve maximum fascination for the show’s December 17 air date.
