Amy Sherman-Palladino is back, and she's brought a Sutton Foster with her in Bunheads
Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, June 11. All times are Eastern.

Bunheads (ABC Family, 9 p.m.): It’s been a while since Amy Sherman-Palladino, one of the patron saints of good TV, had a series on the air, and her last show was the curious case of The Return Of Jezebel James, which was an attempt to make the multi-camera sitcom work again that… didn’t really work. She’s had a couple of pilots produced since then, but Bunheads is the first to be picked up to series. We’re pretty excited because we enjoyed the pilot, and we like Sutton Foster, who stars. We also like that this will reunite Sherman-Palladino and Kelly Bishop. Emily Gilmore now! Emily Gilmore forever! Erik Adams will be covering.
REGULAR COVERAGE
Adventure Time (Cartoon Network, 7:30 p.m.): Finn heads to the spirit realm, from which he will need the Ice King’s help to escape. We remember the last time we went to the spirit realm. We were going to ask Oliver Sava for help escaping, but he was too busy doing other stuff to pitch in. Thanks a lot, Oliver.
Lost Girl (Syfy, 10 p.m.): A husband is missing, and Bo, Dyson, and Lauren are looking for him. Kevin McFarland just wants to know when he’s going to get a little more of Kenzi’s sweet, sweet comic relief action. He’s leading a petition outside of Canada, his sign reading “BRING BACK OUR KENZI!”
Teen Wolf (MTV, 10 p.m.): All right, all right. Twist our arms. You wanted werewolf action; you got werewolf action. Tonight, “Scott tries to keep Derek from creating more werewolves,” according to the official episode summary, and if we were Scott, we would definitely be in favor of that plan.
TV CLUB CLASSIC
The West Wing (11 a.m.): We know it still exists, but “Rock The Vote” strikes us as such a 1990s thing to do that we’re a bit confused by the notion of an episode of this show featuring the concept. Steve Heisler watches President Bartlet ‘n’ Pals figure out what to do about those pesky college kids.
Batman: The Animated Series (1 p.m.): We’re closing in on the end of the second season of this series, and after that, it’s all New Batman Adventures this and New Batman Adventures that. Fortunately, Oliver Sava’s got a few more episodes to check out, including this one about a villain named Lock-Up.
Strangers With Candy (3 p.m.): In order to learn about responsibility, Jerri is assigned to take care of a 10-pound baby. We assume this will go just perfectly, because we’ve never seen this show before, and we assume Jerri is a perfect role model, at least based on what Meredith Blake has told us.
WHAT ELSE IS ON
Top 100 Video Games Of All Time (G4, 8 p.m.): Everybody likes a countdown, right? G4, which is ostensibly all about gamer culture or whatever, is going to tell you what the best video games of all time were, and you’re going to like it. We’re going to riot if Manhunter: San Francisco isn’t featured.
Hollywood Heights (Nickelodeon, 9 p.m.): Nickelodeon is celebrating the launch of its new telenovela aimed at teenagers by airing the first episode five times in the same time slot all week. Ummm… do they not understand how telenovelas work? Because that’s just a poor implementation of the form.
Hurricane Hunters (Weather, 9 p.m.): As it turns out, the Weather Channel is good for something other than showing a vacationing you the local temperature back home while smooth jazz plays. It’s also making shows about people who are into chasing extreme weather. Like hurricanes!
Extreme Couponing (TLC, 10 p.m.): Tonight, TLC is going to teach us how extreme couponing is something God would want us to do for whatever reason. We didn’t know God was into having enough toilet paper to survive 500 nuclear wars, but apparently He is. Our Sunday school was so uninformative!
The Bodyguard (Sundance, 8 p.m.): We assume the broadcast of this is some sort of delayed Whitney Houston tribute, but look at what channel it’s on. We’re deeply confused as to why a channel celebrating the best of independent film would be airing this movie, which is anything but.
Harry And Tonto (TCM, 10:45 p.m.): Art Carney won an Oscar for this film, in which he adorably travels the country with an adorable cat. Someday, we’re going to go to movie heaven and pit Harry And Tonto in a grudge match against Wendy And Lucy and see who comes out on top. The answer: sadness.
Stanley Cup Finals: Game 6: Devils at Kings (NBC, 8 p.m.): If the Kings somehow let the first Stanley Cup in franchise history dribble away from them to the New Jersey Devils, we’re going to renounce this three-week old interest in hockey and never take it up again. Do you hear us, Los Angeles Kings?!

The Borgias (Sunday): That rootin’ tootin’ Borgia pope and his clan of unruly family and hangers-on are having a pretty great season, which reached its penultimate episode last night. Les Chappell will let you know everything that happened if you were watching True Blood for some unfortunate reason.
