Amy Winehouse's father will publish a memoir

Just as it appears that Amy Winehouse's final recordings will be released without her final stamp of approval, it looks like her story will end up being told by somebody else. Winehouse's father Mitch has made a deal with HarperCollins to publish the memoir Amy, My Daughter, which will be released in 2012, reports The Bookseller. Proceeds from the book will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was set up "to support charitable activities in both the U.K. and abroad that provide help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction.” Said Winehouse: "I feel that I need to write this book to tell the true story of Amy and to help with my personal recovery."
