An A.V. Club staffer pops up in the teaser for the punk doc A Fat Wreck

Full disclosure: A certain senior writer for The A.V. Club who may write a column about ’90s punk pops up as a talking head in the teaser for A Fat Wreck, an upcoming documentary about the venerable punk label Fat Wreck Chords. Produced and directed by Shaun Colón—proprietor of his own punk label, Dang! Records—the film will trace the rise of Fat through interviews with bands, fans, journalists, and, of course, Fat Mike, the label’s head honcho. The dozens of notable groups that have passed through the Fat camp during its 24-year existence include Against Me!, Anti-Flag, The Ataris, Avail, Descendents, Dillinger Four, Face To Face, Good Riddance, Lagwagon, The Lawrence Arms, Less Than Jake, No Use For A Name, Propagandhi, Rancid, Rise Against, Screeching Weasel, Strike Anywhere, Strung Out, Subhumans, Swingin’ Utters, Teenage Bottlerocket, and Fat Mike’s own outfits, NOFX and Me First And The Gimme Gimmes. A Fat Wreck is being crowd-funded through Indiegogo.
