An old pair of Mac DeMarco’s shoes just sold for $21,000

A smelly, dirty, beer-stained pair of Mac DeMarco’s shoes just sold for $21,000. The Canadian rocker auctioned off the size 10 scuzzy red Vans in December, with proceeds going to the Willie Mae Rock Camp For Girls. For what it’s worth, DeMarco autographed the shoes, which he said were on the road and on stage with him for a good portion of 2014, including at last year’s A.V. Fest. He also says he’ll throw “some other crap in the box” when he ships the shoes to the auction’s winner, though he doesn’t know what.
