Ana Lily Amirpour's next film gets Kate Hudson, Craig Robinson, and Zac Efron

According to Deadline, the next film from A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night writer/director Ana Lily Amirpour is starting to come together, and it’s already got a pretty nice cast. The film, titled Blood Moon, is about a girl with “strange and dangerous abilities” who goes on the run after breaking out of a mental asylum in New Orleans. Deadline says the movie is “inspired by the fantasy-adventure movies of the ‘80s and ‘90s,” and it combines “strange, violent, and humorous sequences with a range of music from heavy metal to Italian techno.”

As for that cast, we don’t know who will be playing the runaway girl in Blood Moon, but we do know that it will have Kate Hudson, Craig Robinson, and Zac Efron (one of whom could be playing the runaway girl, to be fair). We also don’t know any specifics about this girl’s strange powers, but given the title, we’re going to guess that this might be a werewolf thing. New Orleans has a proud history of werewolves, at least if the Vampire Diaries universe is anything to go by, and Amirpour already made a vampire movie with A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, so werewolves seems doable.
