Deftly sidestepping those annoying legal provisions prohibiting Conan O’Brien from appearing on TV, TBS goes the animated route with this new promo teasing the November premiere of O’Brien’s talk show. It’s an obvious nod to Terry Gilliam’s work on Monty Python—or, for you Canadian fetishists, the Gilliam-derivative credits for You Can’t Do That On Television—with its stop-motion vintage cutouts (though it's sadly missing any Gilliam-trademark giggling, naked flapper girls), and it doesn’t offer any real hints about what you can expect from the new show—although you will catch a brief glimpse of the Masturbating Bear hanging out in Conan’s general brain area, which suggests… well, nothing really. But who couldn't use a little more whimsy in their life, even if it’s only 10 seconds’ worth?
