And now Happy Endings is renewed, too

Here’s the antidote to finding out that all of your favorite NBC comedies are buddying up with Whitney Cummings and Dane Cook: ABC, the network that’s constantly threatening to steal the Peacock’s laughter thunder (had NBC not already greenlit every new and returning series with a vaguely comedic conceit), announced this afternoon that Happy Endings will live to see a third, 22-episode season. And thus TV-comedy geeks won’t be forced to find any new favorite shows until at least the 2013-14 season, and the Happy Endings cast and crew can get back to the business of twisting the English language into increasingly ludicrous catchphrases. The news is, of course, simply ah-mah-zing. (Stop trying to make ah-mah-zing happen.)
