And now, James Franco will read you some Stephen King

As an actor, James Franco has a knack for unnerving his audience. Therefore, a Franco-style rendition of a Stephen King novel is probably just the type of material you don’t want to listen to before bedtime. According to Entertainment Weekly, Franco has read King‘s The Dead Zone for an audiobook due to be released in April 25. The text, which was adapted into both a film and a TV show, follows a man who has the ability to see the future and subsequently tries to stop a madman from becoming president. Indeed the timing of this new version of the tale doesn’t seem completely accidental. (The Guardian deemed David Cronenberg’s adaptation a film that “predicted the rise of Trump.”) Franco has collaborated with King before starring in the Hulu limited series 11.22.63.
