Andy Richter confirms he will be a part of Conan O'Brien's new show—which we thought was a given, but whatever

We weren’t aware that this was even in question, but TBS has just issued an official statement confirming that Andy Richter will return as Conan O’Brien’s impish partner in mirth-making on his TBS show. Perhaps since Max Weinberg selfishly departed to focus on recovering from his massively invasive heart surgery, the network just wanted to make it clear that nothing else was going to change. Whatever the reason, Richter issued a typically self-deprecating statement about how he’s glad to be “getting out of the house again,” then Conan countered with a typically mock-appalled statement about how “this decision was made without my authority.  I will get to the bottom of this.” Oh, those two.
