Andy Samberg is making a sports doping mockumentary for HBO

Andy Samberg is heading back to HBO for another sports-based mockumentary, this time bringing his love of big characters and cartoon orgies to the world of professional cycling. Samberg is reuniting with his 7 Days In Hell writing partner Murray Miller and director Jake Szymanski for the upcoming Tour De Pharmacy.

According to Deadline, the project will focus on cycling’s epidemic infestation of performance-enhancing substances, as made infamous by multiple Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong. Samberg will presumably star as some sort of take on the former Mr. Sheryl Crow, although Daveed Diggs, Julia Ormond, Phylicia Rashad, Will Forte, Dolph Lundgren (who had a hilarious cameo in 7 Days), John Cena, Mike Tyson and Nathan Fielder are also expected to appear.

Samberg currently appears on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, where he investigates a less roided-up take on crime, and recently starred in the Lonely Island’s musical spoof Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
