Veep star Ann Chlumsky is making a brief detour into a different, less comedic world of backstabbing, betrayals, and general, self-serving assholery, with AMC announcing that she’s signed on for a role in the final season of its tech-based drama Halt And Catch Fire. Chlumsky—who’s presumably just taking a quick detour before Veep’s already announced seventh season—will play Dr. Katie Herman, an information scientist who’ll be vital to the show’s cast as they delve into the potentially lucrative world of the nascent internet.
Halt And Catch Fire returns for its final round of computer-adjacent skullduggery this summer.
