Another actor has been cast in Game Of Thrones, so prepare spoiler filters accordingly

When we last left off with Game Of Thrones casting announcements, we were, as always, forced to deal with the inherent nature of spoilers, in a show where every time an actor gets cast as a character, their very presence may be a spoiler to some. So where were we in revealing how the story ends, so we can all just move on?

Ah yes. Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and Brienne of Tarth join together in a ragtag team of disgraced protectors, exiled after a run-in with a White Walker. With newly invented magical knapsacks from Grand Maester Pycelle and Melisandre in tow, the three depart to assist those around The Wall in capturing White Walkers in a containment unit and trying to avoid getting slobbered on by Jon Snow's dire wolf, Ghost. They’re so successful, they have to hire Littlefinger to help keep up with demand. They respond to a message from Daenerys, whose residence is actually a gateway to a spirit threatening to bring about the destruction of Westeros. After fighting a giant Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man with King Joffrey’s face on it, these four SpiritBusters combine magical powers to defeat their destructor. Adventure over.

Anyway, Russian actor Yuri Kolokolnikov has been cast as Styr, the Magnar of Thenn, in the upcoming fourth season of Game Of Thrones. He’s a wildling leader who aligns with Ciaran Hinds’ Mance Rayder, so expect Jon Snow and others north of The Wall to be dealing with him. There was some speculation that hairless actor Joseph Gatt would be playing Styr, but that’s apparently not the case. Kolokolnikov is mostly unknown to English-speaking audiences, but now that he’s been cast far enough in advance, you’ve got time to catch up on Obrechyonnye na voynu and Schastilivyy konets.
