Another character cast in Game Of Thrones whose presence is inherently a spoiler, so don't blame us
In a casting announcement for Game Of Thrones that is inherently a spoiler for all those who have not read the books—even more so than every other Game Of Thrones casting announcement—an actor has been cast as a character whose very appearance is inherently a spoiler. Therefore, there’s no way to discuss it without spoiling it for those who haven’t read the books, so you know what, let’s just get the end of Game Of Thrones right out in the open, right now, so we can all move on: At the very end of the story, Tywin Lannister and Jon Snow face off in a winner-take-all golf game for Westeros, and it all comes down to Jon’s final putt—a putt that stops just short of the hole. At that same moment, Daenerys’ efforts to kill the gopher have led her to wire the entire countryside with dragons; as she detonates them, Jon’s ball drops in. “Hey everybody! We’re all gonna get laid!” Tyrion shouts, and Westeros has a sex party. The End.
Anyway, now that everyone is on the same page, we can talk about how British actor Struan Rodger will play Lord Brynden Rivers—otherwise known as Bloodraven, otherwise known as the “three-eyed crow” that Bran Stark seeks north of the Wall, in between all the Hodoring. Brynden’s appearance in the fourth season may come as something of a surprise to readers, seeing as he isn’t even in the A Song Of Ice And Fire series until the fifth book. But Zap2It, which broke the story, speculates he may just be turning up here in one of Bran’s visions, possibly at the very end of the fourth season, before becoming a larger part of season five. Or, maybe he just wants to get laid.
