Another season of David Letterman's Netflix show will premiere next year

David Letterman said earlier this year that his post-Late Show adventures have been so fulfilling that he wishes he had quit his CBS job much earlier, so he has unsurprisingly decided to continue what is probably the most lucrative of those post-Late Show adventures with another season of his Netflix talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. As announced in a press release, the show will be returning for a new season at some point next year with “another round of guests Letterman finds fascinating.” Naturally, we have no idea who those guests will be, since they need no introduction and will evidently not be receiving one, but last year the show got Barack Obama, JAY-Z, Malala Yousafzai, George Clooney, Tina Fey, and Howard Stern.

We’re not sure how the show could possibly find guests more fascinating than those (Howard Stern!), but we think Netflix could buy back some goodwill if it convinced Letterman to sit down with blind New York defense attorney Matt Murdock or bulletproof Harlem guy Luke Cage. Surely they’ve got more stories to tell.
