Anthony Hopkins celebrates the return of Westworld with a truly terrifying video
Given the events of the first season finale, it’s unlikely Anthony Hopkins will be popping up in the flesh in this new season of Westworld. But that doesn’t mean he can’t still find ways to creep everybody out with his disturbing use of technology. Over the weekend, the 80-year-old Academy Award winner used a web-capable handheld device to share a truly terrifying video that will make you question what is real and what is a dream.
“This is what happens when you’re all work and no play…” reads the haunting caption under the video of Hopkins doing a bugged-eyed flailing dance that’s reminiscent of a malfunctioning Westworld host. No one quite knows why the actor felt the need to share this little glimpse into his home life, but it sounds like he’s feeling a bit stir crazy on his current project. Maybe getting into the mind of the mad King Lear is starting to wear on him.
If you’d like to create your own version of this nightmare fuel, the music being used is a song called “The Plaza” which was written by Hopkins himself for his 2012 debut album Composer. But, good luck making anything close to the faces he pulls in the original video. This is a trained actor we’re talking about.
