Anthony Kiedis ejected from Lakers game in the city he lives in, the city of angels
You’ll see no shortage of celebrities sitting courtside at Los Angeles Lakers’ games, but perhaps none scat so animatedly from the sidelines as Anthony Kiedis. Consequence of Sound reports that during Saturday’s game against the Houston Rockets, the Red Hot Chili Peppers singer was ejected from the premises after telling Rockets guard Chris Paul to suck his kiss.
It was already a tumultuous game by that point, as Lakers guard Rajon Rondo sent Paul into a frenzy after spitting in his face, leading to a robust brawl. In the end, Rondo, Paul, and Lakers small forward Brandon Ingram were ejected and suspended. Paul was being escorted from the court when he was accosted by the extra-spicy Pepper.
See footage of their encounter below. Yes, Kiedis’ rage is unwarranted, but do try to remember that sometimes he feels like this city is his only friend.
Kiedis wasn’t without a partner at the game, however. His bandmate, the venerable Flea, was with him, and took to Instagram on Sunday to share a surprisingly upbeat message about the incident. “At the lakers game last night with my dear brother. It Got crazy at the end, but man I get so satisfied, deeply drinking in the depth and beauty of the game,” he wrote. “People operating at a high level in so many dimensions. Cerebral, physical, spiritual, emotional, unspoken and telepathic communication.”
