According to Page Six—which, again, is a gossip column, so take this with a grain of salt—Deidre Ball was unhappy with her husband’s “naked political ambition” and desire to transform himself from a successful New York entrepreneur into a Washington insider. (She also reportedly wasn’t a fan of his new boss, donating money to at least one anti-Trump congressional candidate in 2015.)
Scaramucci—who scored a major political win earlier today, with the firing of his hated rival Reince Priebus as White House chief of staff—issued a brief tweet about the divorce earlier today, asking that reporters and commentators “leave civilians out of this.”
