Apparently, Joy stars more people than just Jennifer Lawrence

The first trailer for David O. Russell’s Joy was heavy on the Jennifer Lawrence factor. And hey, it’s no secret Russell is a superfan of Lawrence, who also stars in his films Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. But the new trailer for Joy shows a little more love for Lawrence’s Silver Linings Playbook co-stars Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, who star as an executive at the Home Shopping Network and Joy’s father Rudy, respectively. Yep, Russell also likes having De Niro just alternate between playing Cooper and Lawrence’s fathers in all of his film. New to the Russell cult, Édgar Ramírez also gets a little more time to shine in the trailer as Tony Miranne, Joy’s husband. Unfortunately, Orange Is The New Black’s Dascha Polanco still isn’t seen doing anything more than hugging Lawrence. And the real star of the film, the Miracle Mop, does not make an appearance. But Joy’s shotgun does!

Lawrence, who is thoroughly over Hollywood’s sexist bullshit, recently dropped out of the film adaptation of the bestselling book The Rosie Project and is in talks to star in a new project from Darren Aronofsky. In typical Aronofsky fashion, very little is known about the project.

Joy opens in theaters on Christmas Day.
