Apparently, Ryan Adams and deadmau5 are collaborating on something that sounds like "Blade Runner starring Don Henley"
Ryan Adams has announced that he recently hit the studio with successful DJ deadmau5, writing on Twitter, "Recording a track with my new pal @deadmau5 today. Sounds like Blade Runner starring Don Henley." Proving he wasn't kidding (at least about the collaborating part), Adams tweeted a photo of them together. No details have emerged on the song's release date.
In addition to working with Adams, things are going pretty okay for EDM superstar deadmau5 lately. His new record, the frustratingly named album title goes here, debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard charts this week, racking up 58,000 in sales. Previously, his best-selling record, 4X4=12, topped out at No. 47, moving just 27,000 units in its biggest week.
All that comes without much promotion, either. The mouse-headed DJ is taking a little break from touring. So far, he has no dates scheduled for the rest of the year, and only two 2013 shows confirmed: March 29 at Lollapalooza Brazil and April 6 at Lollapalooza Chile.
