Apple introduces a talking iPod shuffle. Yes, that is a thing that happened.

Seeing as it's been about six minutes since the last update to the iPod line, it's high-time for Apple to introduce their newest wallet-stuffer (their wallet). This one is a revamp of the iPod shuffle, claiming to be half the size of the previous version—which was as big as a quarter—and more than double the capacity, now topping off at four gigs of storage.

But that's not the most interesting thing about this new product. The iPod contains a feature called VoiceOver, which, at the push of a button, tells you what song is playing, and who is performing it. (Wait, if the song is on your music library… woudn't you know that already? Or are you one of those people who blindly purchases, labels, organizes, and transfers music willy-nilly?) The voice—a pretty standard deal—can also casually mention which playlist you're choosing, and strategically interject a few words when your battery's about to die. Also, you control the player from a dangly module from the headphones, so it seems the annoyances never cease.
