Aqua Teen ads terror-scare roundup
Yesterday in Boston, a bunch of light-up signs any dedicated viewer would have recognized as Aqua Teen Hunger Force's un-loveable pixellated alien Ignignokt created a terrorism scare—the city of Boston shut down a highway and sent out bomb squads to remove the devices from buildings and bridges. Read the Associated Press' roundup here. Turner Broadcasting, which owns Cartoon Network, has apologized for putting the signs up, but the city (and the District Attorney) is still acting as the Carl to Turner's Frylock, threatening legal action and claiming the stunt cost it more than $500,000. Two employees have already been arrested and charged for putting up the signs.
