Aquaman catches a release date

Variety reports that Warner Bros. has set a release date for Aquaman, its upcoming solo feature for Jason Momoa’s crime-fighting underwater king. Audiences will get to see Momoa balance his Atlantean duties and surface-level tensions on October 5, 2018, slotting the movie in after 2017’s Justice League and 2018’s The Flash.

Aquaman is being directed by James Wan, who’s promising some classic swashbuckling action, and, hopefully, a minimum of fish puns. Fans got a brief glimpse of Momoa’s camera-smashing superhero in Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and a longer look during the Justice League trailer released earlier this year.
