Arcade Fire is definitely releasing something at nine p.m. on September 9, or at least that’s what a new teaser trailer released on the band’s site suggests. The 40-second clip is made up of fast-paced interstitials of band members like Win Butler recording in semi-darkness or, in the case of Regine Chassagne, banging on a drum in front of a window. The accompanying tune is pretty much true to the Arcade Fire aesthetic, though maybe just a tinge more polished than the group’s previous work, so make of that what you will. The clip is also titled “Reflektor,” leading savvy Internetters to guess that the word will probably be the title of the group’s new single, new record, or new multi-player, party-friendly board game.
