Arcade Fire’s Win Butler has his own coffee now
Like so many bands before it, Arcade Fire is getting into the coffee business. Frontman Win Butler has partnered with La Colombe to produce and distribute RaRa Coffee, a specialty coffee grown in Haiti and roasted in Philadelphia. Described as “floral, balanced, and smooth,” RaRa’s sales will benefit Partners In Health and The Haiti Coffee Academy, an organization that says it’s “committed to revitalizing the Haitian coffee sector.” As Butler notes on La Colombe’s website,
“Being in the mountains of Haiti, it is hard not to think about coffee. The elevation, the sunshine, the soil, and incredible people, who have been growing the plant on tiny family plots for centuries. Haiti is buzzing with potential and possibility, and coffee can be an important part of its rebirth!”
