Arcade Fire's interactive video for "We Used To Wait," starring your childhood home
As its title suggests, Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs is consumed with wistful recollections of childhood homes, and now the new interactive video project The Wilderness Downtown—which uses the band's “We Used To Wait”—allows you to get in on all that reminiscin’. Simply enter the street address of the place where you grew up at this website, and director Chris Milk’s video will take over your desktop with scenes that incorporate shots of your childhood home using Google Street View. (The site recommends Google Chrome, but it seems to work okay in Firefox. Just make sure to enable pop-ups, as there will be many of them.)
