Armando Iannucci’s new film, The Death Of Stalin, is a satirical look at the Soviet dictator’s last days and the chaos of the regime after his death. Iannucci, who created comedies The Thick Of It and Veep, is no stranger to political commentary, but he’s never dealt with material this weighty. We asked him about his approach to writing and directing a film about the atrocities committed by Stalin.
