Assorted TV news: Darfur, gayness, Oxygen reaches for men

In an attempt to get men to watch Oxygen, that network is working up a reality show about Deion Sanders. Don't count on it having a huge male draw, though, if this description from an exec is any indication: "Deion is hysterical, and Pilar is really funny and adorable and smart, and they just have such great chemistry. It's such a positive and optimistic look at family life, and they are equal partners. It was perfect for us." (Hollywood Reporter)

HBO has picked up the George Clooney-narrated-and-produced Sand And Sorrow, a documentary about the genocide in Darfur, due to air on the channel in December.
