And for those for whom Swiftamine isn’t enough, there may be a reason why so many of her songs get stuck in people’s heads so easily: because they’re essentially the same song. To be more accurate, at least two of her songs can easily be remixed to prove they’re the same song with incredibly strong earworm hooks that will stick in listeners’ heads.
DJ Dwibbit took the vocals from “Blank Space” and put them over the backing music from “Style” to prove it’s essentially the same beat that’s grabbed the attention and adoration of millions. The remix is below and does show how seamless the integration is, with the breakdowns coming at the same time in both songs and chorus having the same structure.
