Aubrey Plaza and others make a convincing case for donating to the Improv Everywhere documentary

Long before the term “flash mob” became corrupted by violent youth and Twittering rappers—and in fact, long before the term “flash mob” was invented at all—there was Improv Everywhere, whose impromptu “missions” to briefly upend banal reality continue to produce some of the best viral videos and good feelings around. And now you can be a part of it all by helping to fund the Improv Everywhere documentary, which needs your donations to help finish its post-production and distribution. As with most Kickstarter-backed projects, there are the usual token rewards—thanks in the credits, a limited-edition coffee table book, an invitation to participate as a featured player in an upcoming Improv Everywhere scene, etc. But more importantly, you’ll also get the satisfaction of knowing that you’re in the company of Improv Everywhere veterans like Ben Folds, Nick Kroll, Mad Men’s Rich Sommer, and Aubrey Plaza, who extol the project’s virtues in the below teaser. Aubrey Plaza says you should do it, so do it. [via The Daily What]
