Avengers 4 is done, and the Russo brothers have shared another cryptic image
In September, Avengers 4 directors Joe and Anthony Russo tweeted a mysterious image that was apparently from the set of the still-mysterious superhero sequel, asking fans to “look hard” for clues. On Friday, the Russos announced that they had completed production on the still-untitled Avengers 4, commemorating the event with another cryptic image. This time around, though, there’s not much for us to examine, just a single blue light:
The Hollywood Reporter says that the hot theory is that the single light means that a single hero will die in the movie, and while we’re pretty sure Captain America’s going to get killed in Avengers 4, that seems like a bit of a reach. It could just be a random light from the set, like when you want to respond to somebody’s Snapchat but you don’t have anything fun to take a picture of so you just zoom in on a wall or a table (or a light on the set of Avengers 4). That theory is boring, though, so we still don’t like it.
Luckily, we’ve got a theory of our own: It’s a single blue light, and which Marvel hero wore blue in the ‘90s and has superpowers that involve a single light? Cyclops from The X-Men. Granted, this theory would make more sense if it were a red light, but we’re going to take this as absolute confirmation that Cyclops is definitely in Avengers 4 until somebody from Marvel tells us otherwise.
Actually, now that we think about it, Iron Man shoots blue beams, right? Maybe it just means Iron man will be in the next movie.
