According to The Hollywood Reporter, the popular blog Awkward Family Photos—which collects reader-submitted embarrassing family photos, and that’s it—will become the latest thing that exists on the Internet to be transformed into a TV show, this time for ABC, following in the cocksure footsteps of $#*! My Dad Says and the similar, recently acquired Twitter feed, Shh… Don’t Tell Steve. As THR puts it, “How the concept will translate to series TV is still unclear.” What is becoming increasingly clear is that the network development department is trying to pass off their dicking around on the Internet as “research.” Perhaps we wouldn’t all have to be party to their ruse if they would just learn to use the “Alt-Tab” function whenever their bosses come around.
