Axe Cop is here to save us all

Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30. All times are Eastern.

TOP PICK
Axe Cop (Fox, midnight, Saturday): This absurd action-comedy (starring Nick Offerman as the voice of Axe Cop) has had a fantastic season, sweeping away bad guys and blaming Adolf Hitler for things he probably did. Phil Dyess-Nugent reviewed the series so far for us, and gave it an A. On Saturday it's closing out its first season with a two-part finale, awkwardly timed during the Thanksgiving holiday. But Axe Cop doesn't care if you feel comfortable. Because Axe Cop is always comfortable. And that's all that matters.

REGULAR COVERAGE
Raising Hope (Fox, 9 p.m., Friday): This little show is doing its best to stay alive in the desert of Friday night. The Friday night after Thanksgiving is even less forgiving. Phil Dyess-Nugent would like to give tonight's episodes an A for effort, at least.

Borgen (LinkTV, 1 a.m., Saturday): The Danes are dealing with moles and elections and there's a parliamentary seat and Katrine looks like she might kiss Mads Mikkelsen's brother, so, okay, there's a lot going on. Birgitte Nyborg, as always, seems effortlessly flawless. Todd VanDerWerff suggests she star in Revlon commercials.

WHAT ELSE IS ON
Barbara Streisand: Back To Brooklyn (PBS, 9 p.m., Friday): Babs performs at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, accompanied by Il Volo, Chris Botti, and her son, Jason Gould. Part of the PBS Great Performances series. Viewer discretion is advised.

Nikita (The CW, 9 p.m., Friday): Ass-kicking, it happens. Alex and Sam are forced to work together. Along the way, they observe that it's kind of cool, that they both have gender-neutral names.

Trapped In The Closet, Chapters 1-33 (IFC, 7:15 p.m., Friday): The first 33 chapters of R. Kelly's hip-hopera.

Zero Dark Thirty (Starz, 6:20 p.m., Saturday): The next 30 chapters of R. Kelly's hip-hopera.

College Football: South Florida At Central Florida (ESPN, 8 p.m., Friday): South Florida turns to Central Florida. "You know, we're not that different, you and I."

College Basketball: Florida State At Florida (ESPN, 8 p.m., Friday): GATORS VS. SEMINOLES. FLORIDA VS. FLORIDA. BROTHER FIGHTING BROTHER. MAN VERSUS MAN. OH, THE HUMANITY!

NBA Basketball: Bulls At Cavaliers (WGN America, 7:30 p.m.): Okay, okay. There can be one sports game that isn't about Florida. But only one. Cleveland doesn't stand a chance against Chicago, but now that we've said that, they'll probably win.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Glee (Thursday): Ryan Murphy's War On Thanksgiving had an epic skirmish last night, as Brandon Nowalk showed up on the battlefield of Thursday night armed with a turkey hangover and a mashed-potato pie. Murphy, on his part, brought an episode about Sue's track suit. Nowalk barely survived with his life—but lived to tell the tale.
