Aziz Ansari wrote a bunch of Friday Night Lights Super Bowl fan fiction
Before the Seahawks absolutely demolished the Broncos in Sunday's Super Bowl, Aziz Ansari had a little bit of fun on Twitter penning some Friday Night Lights fan fiction, pitting the Dillon Panthers against the East Dillon Lions in his own version of the game. Justifiably, the fantasy expanded from there, including a picture of Scott Porter and Michael B. Jordan together, Paul Scheer chiming in with a report from the Field with Buddy Garrity, Smash Williams reportedly joining Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports, and of course, Tim Riggins leaving Flashdancer’s Gentleman’s Club in the wee hours of the morning. In the elaborate tale, Landry’s “Uncle Jack” also visits the opposing locker room, forging the chilling Breaking Bad connection, and yet Bruno Mars still replaced Crucifictorious as the halftime entertainment. And Luke Cafferty misses the game entirely in order to take Becky to see Book Of Mormon instead—which means he survived, and at least for this one brief bit of Twitter fan fiction from a standup comedian, every Friday Night Lights fan who teared up during the finale can breathe a sigh of relief. As Coach Taylor says at the end of that crushing defeat at state in season three: “This is the game people are going to talk about for years to come.” [h/t Gawker]
