A wintry mix to get you through the polar vortex

It’s not just cold out there, folks—it’s goddamn freezing. Not only here in the Midwest, but all across North America, flights are grounded, businesses closed, and generally we’re all forced inside for the next 24 hours or so. To help you—and us—get through it, The A.V. Club has compiled a Spotify playlist of winter songs. Most of them specifically mention the weather, while some just evoke it, and sonically they cover psych pop, indie, electronic, folk, R&B, and places in between. It’s three and a half hours and 50 songs in total—one for every negative degree the windchill is projected to hit here in Chicago.

Enjoy and stay warm, y’all.
