Bad Boys sequels get some bad news

For most people, 2016 will go down as a terrible year, but it was a full of good news for fans of the Bad Boys franchise (they’re out there). Not only did Martin Lawrence and Will Smith finally work out whatever problems they had—scheduling or otherwise—and agree to another installment (or two), but Joe Carnahan signed on to direct the next film. That’s a lot of progress in one year for a movie that seemed to have been shelved indefinitely. The third film, titled Bad Boys For Life, was originally slated for release on February 17, which was then pushed back to June 2. Now Exhibitor Relations, which has been our source for all BB-related news, reports that Bad Boys For Life’s opening has just been delayed again. It’s now scheduled for a November 9, 2018 release date, while a fourth franchise entry, which has apparently also been in the works, has lost its 2019 release date.
