Bananarama is getting back together for first tour ever

The BBC reports that ’80s pop trio Bananarama has reunited, and is about to go on its first tour. No, not the first tour since getting back together, but the first tour ever with the full lineup. The group comprising Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey, and Keren Woodward racked up several top 10 hits, including “Cruel Summer,” “Shy Boy,” and a cover of “Venus” that‘s been featured in many movie soundtracks, including Romy And Michele’s High School Reunion. But they broke up before they could ever hit the road: Fahey left over artistic differences, moving on to form Shakespeare’s Sister, while Dallin and Woodward toured the world by their twosome before the group completely went kaput.

But any bad blood that inspired is long gone now; Fahey says the only reason the group is reuniting is because they “love each other and really loved what we did.“ Bananarama will tour the U.K. from mid-November through early December.
