After this guy’s Darth Vader helmet and camouflage pants ensemble swept the nation, it seems as though pop culture-inspired bank robbers aren’t even trying anymore, hitting a possible nadir with the duo that just stormed a Chicago bank wearing nun costumes lifted straight out of The Town. The male and female pair donned replica habits and rubber masks—most likely procured from any of these fine retailers—and reenacted the film’s similar heist scene, only minus the pistol-whipping and the Ben Affleck direction, and with actual money. Is it too much to ask for a little more imagination from America’s criminals? The next batch better come dressed as something less predictable—say, Woody Allen’s paratrooper sperm from Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex—or we may not even write about you.
