Baskets’ Jonathan Krisel is directing Adam Scott and Craig Robinson’s ghost comedy
Deadline reports that Baskets and Portlandia mastermind Jonathan Krisel has been tapped to direct the pilot for Ghosted, the new supernatural comedy series from Adam Scott and Craig Robinson. The series—which picked up a pilot order last month from Fox—will see Scott and Robinson goofing around as two investigators looking into the existence of the supernatural.
Krisel has carved out a niche for himself on the weird side of the American comedy scene, coming up as a writer for Tim & Eric before working with Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein to turn Portlandia into a sketch comedy hit for IFC. Last year he branched out onto FX, with his and Zach Galifianakis’ clown comedy Baskets earning strong praise from critics for its mixture of emotional storytelling and straight-up oddball weirdness.
