Batman dumbfounds Superman in final Dawn Of Justice trailer
Although he once scoffed at the Caped Crusader’s odds against the Man Of Steel, Zack Snyder has gone to great lengths to amend that summary judgment—he’s directed a whole movie dedicated to the notion that Batman is a worthy adversary for Superman. Despite Lex Luthor’s (mocking) exaltation, the trailers for Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice have taken pains to suggest that Superman (Henry Cavill) does have feet of clay, as he has a bit of a public-image problem after destroying downtown Metropolis, including a Wayne Enterprises building, which is the premise for the meet-cute between the two superheroes.
The latest and final trailer for the movie features an aging Batman who nonetheless is going to give Supes a run for his money. Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) doesn’t like the Kryptonian much, confiding in Alfred that if there’s even the slightest chance that Superman could destroy all life on Earth, then the Batman has to take him down. We’ve already seen the WayneTech version of plate-mail armor that Batman dons, but this is the first time we see what it can do, which is neutralize a Super-punch and thereby dumbfound Superman.
Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice hits theaters March 25.
