Batman: Return Of The Caped Crusaders will have a very limited theatrical run
After the grimness and in-your-face edginess of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Suicide Squad, and The Killing Joke, DC’s Batman: Return Of The Caped Crusaders looks like it’s specifically designed to be a palate cleanser. The animated film is a throwback to the Batman show from the ’60s—with original stars Adam West and Burt Ward reprising their roles alongside Julie Newmar’s Catwoman—and for fans who are hoping to see this brighter and goofier take on the Dark Knight hit the big screen, Fathom Events is planning to take Return Of The Caped Crusaders on a very limited theatrical run. So limited, in fact, that it’ll be a one-night-only event.
The screenings will take place on October 10, and the plan is to have three showings at each participating theater. Thankfully, unlike with a lot of limited run stuff, these Caped Crusaders screenings won’t just be happening in New York, L.A., and Chicago, they’ll actually be coming to theaters all over the United States. You can see the full list of participating locations—and buy tickets, if you’re so inclined—at this link.
For the rest of us, Batman: Return Of The Caped Crusaders will be available digitally on October 11, and on Blu-ray and DVD on November 1.
